Mark White’s Kaleidoscope wind sculpture directs your focused attention to the center of the sculpture while the outer portion of the sculpture moves in your peripheral vision, creating a moiré type effect if you watch it long enough and let your eyes relax.

This kinetic wind sculpture is also a great piece for high winds and needs good exposure to help it move more consistently. The Kaleidoscope demonstrates the unpredictability and capriciousness of the wind; they have two separate wheels that move independently of each other and often not at the same speed (depending on wind currents). They are sometimes known or referred to as a double spinner wind sculpture.

Artists tip – From Mark: If you are seeking to find a more consistent motion from these wind sculptures and spinners, carry the sculpture around your outdoor space until you find a location and angle that you enjoy. You can tighten your set screw to no longer allow the sculpture to rotate on a horizontal axis and keep it facing one direction.

This kinetic wind sculpture comes with 6 color options for both inner and outer blades; Purple, Red, Teal, Cobalt Blue, Bronzed or Green Verdigris. This sculpture is available in a 6, 7, or 8 foot pole.
